Yoga helps seniors

Eight out of ten seniors practicing yoga have admitted that before taking up regular trainings they felt backaches more often – it results from the opinion polls conducted at the University of the Third Age in Częstochowa and Katowice. What does it mean? In a nutshell, it means that you can practice yoga at any age and profit from that.

In Halasana Yoga School there is a group 50 + and they have confirmed the results of the research. In our school, thanks to the facilities, anyone regardless her/his abilities may practice and improve her/his overall condition. According to the mentioned above research, nine out of ten seniors have improved their body posture. They have also claimed that hatha yoga exercises help to decrease negative effects of stress.

Other benefits? Greater joint mobility, muscle relaxation, better working circulatory system, greater activity, concentration and creativity. But that is not all – regular practice have helped them improve relations with other people, has given them stronger feeling of security and has helped to change the lifestyle
